Topic 2024: The Road to Digitalisation in Higher Education
Located in the Rhine-Main region, and known as the "The City of Science", Darmstadt is a great place to experience German culture and get to know colleagues from around the world.
From 2nd to 6th December 2024, we didn't only emphasize on the challenges that digitalisation has proven to be for universities but also on the benefits of digital teaching and learning and the paths it opens up for dealing with societal changes and challenges. We rounded it off with a cultural programme, tasty "Glühwein" and the opportunity to get to know our students.

During the Erasmus+ International Staff Week, the participants were able to experience life at h_da through the eyes of our students and staff by:
- taking a tour of the h_da campus in Darmstadt & Dieburg
- participating in workshops on digitalisation in higher education
- sharing best practices of digitalisation in learning at the home institution
- experiencing German culture by exploring Darmstadt and the Rhine-Main region
- meeting and getting to know international colleagues and
- promoting the home institution at our Study Abroad Fair
