Winter Schools
Many partner universities and other providers offer short programs with various subject orientations during the winter months. Participation fees are charged for the courses, however, some partner universities of h_da offer full or partial scholarships for students.
Once winter schools are reported to us, you will find the information on this website.
If you would like to participate in a winter school, two steps are required:
- Register directly with the program provider.
- Please register via our MoveON portal and send us the PDF by email.
Hanyang International Winter School, South Korea
Our partner university Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea offers a winter school in presence in winter 2024/25. It is possible to choose between two program periods or apply for both.
Who can apply?
Students (bachelor, master) of all faculties.
Time period:
Program period A: 23.12.2024 - 10.01.2024
Application period for A: 01.09. - 18.10.2024
Program period B: 01.02.2024 - 15.02.2024
Application period for B: 01.09.2024 - 22.11.2024
Costs
The course fees are KRW 1,500,000 - approx. 990€.
There are student dorms and th e possibility to search for a private accommodation.
- period A (19 nights): costs for a student dormitory are between 300€ - 630€
- period B (15 nights): costs for a student dormitory are between 300€ - 500€
You can apply for the university grant for short stays before 15 October.
Ajman University: Winter Study Tour, United Arab Emirates
Ajman University, located near Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, is offering two winter schools with courses in business, engineering, IT, and architecture.
Time Periods
Period A: 12.01.2025 - 18.01.2025
Period B: 26.01.2025 - 01.02.2025
Costs
The tuition fees are approximately €790.
If you apply before 5 November, the costs are only around €700.
Accommodation, study costs, entrance fees for planned activities etc. are included.
Important: The flight and visa are not included in the price.
