Fulbright Travel Scholarship USA

German students who are planning a stay abroad in the USA can apply for the Fulbright Travel Scholarship. The scholarship program serves to promote cultural exchange with the USA and to deepen students' knowledge in their bachelor's and master's studies.

Scholarship benefits

• Funding of travel expenses with a lump sum of 2000 EUR
• Participation in the preparatory and networking meeting of German and American Fulbright scholarship holders
• Support for the scholarship holders
• Admission to the Fulbright Germany network

Target group

• You have a wide range of interests and want to actively contribute to the academic and cultural exchange between Germany and the USA through your involvement. 
• Bachelor: You have already completed 4 semesters of study at the time of departure and will continue your studies at h_da after your stay abroad. 
• Master: You will continue your studies at h_da after your stay in the USA.

Application requirements

• German citizenship 
• Good English language skills 
• Good to very good previous professional education
• Clear professional goal orientation for the study project
• Commitment outside of studies
• Willingness to assume social responsibility
• Motivation to work for German-American understanding

Notes

• If you have already completed a longer (>4 months) study-related stay in the USA, you cannot be considered.
• The travel scholarships cannot be combined with other scholarships, such as PROMOS or HAW.International.
